Job Description :
Roles and Responsibility :

Manage and maintain cloud-based database systems, including provisioning, configuration, and performance tuning.
Monitor database performance and identify areas for optimization.
Analyze and fine-tune database queries, indexes, and schema design for improved performance.
Conduct regular backup testing and recovery drills.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
Apply patches and updates to database systems to address security vulnerabilities and ensure compliance.
Investigate and resolve complex database-related incidents and outages.
Collaborate with Level 1 Support and other teams to diagnose and resolve issues promptly.
Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Create knowledge base articles to assist Level 1 Support and other stakeholders.
Work closely with application developers to optimize database queries and support database-related development efforts.
Collaborate with cloud service providers and vendors for technical support and issue resolution.

Required Qualification and Skills :

Proficiency in database technologies, such as SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-native databases (e.g., Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL).

Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Knowledge of database security best practices.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on cloud database platforms.
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Database – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.
