Roles and Responsibilities :
As a Software Engineer at Cisco, you’ll be part of a high-impact engineering team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Build interactive, high-performance web apps using React.js, Redux, TypeScript, and modern UI libraries.
- Design and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Kotlin, Vert.x, and RESTful APIs.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Graph DB.
- Develop and deploy microservices on AWS, with hands-on experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS.
- Create and integrate REST APIs for seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.
- Maintain code quality by writing unit and integration tests using Jest, Cypress, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and QA engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Up to 2 years of experience (including internships or academic projects).
- Proficiency in JavaScript, ReactJS, Redux, TypeScript, and Java.
- Strong foundation in REST APIs and web application design.
- Exposure to NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-based applications.
- Familiarity with tools like Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, and Git.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
