Job Description :
Roles and Responsibility : 

• Provide in depth support to Ellucian clients and employees in troubleshooting and resolving issues
• Document issues and solutions within Ellucian’s tracking system and follow issue progress through resolution
• Develop effective working relationships with other Ellucian staff
• Work closely with other Ellucian Action Line team members to deliver outstanding support for clients
• Work both independently as needed and as an active, contributing member of a team.
• Actively contribute and work to continually improve customer self-help through the publication of technically and functionally accurate knowledge base articles
• Manage cases efficiently and effectively using Ellucian’s case-tracking system, keeping customers updated on progress through resolution.
• Liaise with other Ellucian technical teams (Development, Cloud Hosting, Professional Services).
• Cover assigned rotation as an on-call as well as working in first or Second shift on rotation based on Business need ( 6 A.M. IST to 2:30 PM IST or 2:00 PM to 10:30 P.M. IST)

Required Qualification and Skills : 

• Strong customer service orientation and experience with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical , troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to debug SQL queries, PL/SQL  package/procedures
• Ability to take initiative and follow through on commitments made to clients
• Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and Oracle Weblogic  Application Server products
• Experience working with Windows and Unix operating systems
• Ability to write simple programs and scripts for use in debugging issues
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Familiarity with Java applications (Groovy/Grails, Tomcat) and their troubleshooting (interpreting stack traces, etc.)
• Ability to debug Oracle Pro*C, Pro*Cobol, Broadcom Application Manager
